About me
Julia Schreckenbach
3D & Environment Artist
I build spaces that feel like somewhere.
I'm a 3D Artist, focusing on Environment and Level Design. I am interested in what makes a place feel real — how a layout comes together, how light falls across a surface, and how small details can tell a story.
Before moving into 3D, I worked as a goldsmith, taking pieces from an initial design to a finished object made by hand. I learned to pay attention to form, proportion and materials, and how a small change can affect the whole. I still think about these things when building environments.
I enjoy taking a space from a rough block-out to the final details, working across modelling, texturing and implementation. For me, it's often about figuring out why something doesn't quite feel right yet — and what happens when it finally does. I want to make places that feel like they have a story, even when nobody is there to tell it.
